The curtains came down on MEE (Middle East Energy) 2026 on September 3, marking another landmark edition of the region's premier energy event. Centered on the theme of "Building a Smart Energy Ecosystem", this year's exhibition brought together the global energy value chain to address the critical challenges facing the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) energy transition—including smart grid upgrades, energy storage development, and digital distribution network transformation.

We at INHE Group made a strong showing, presenting our smart metering, intelligent distribution, storage inverters, and AMI system solutions. We showcased our end‑to‑end energy digitization capabilities, specifically designed to serve utilities and complement new energy integration for the Middle East and global markets.

This time at the MEE exhibition, we unveiled a systematic solution architecture spanning the entire spectrum—from perception to decision‑making, and from point‑source remediation to regional coordination. This directly addresses the multi‑layered structural challenges currently reshaping the Middle East's energy landscape: aging distribution infrastructure, insufficient digital capabilities, regional development imbalances, the impact of renewable energy grid integration, and the complex web of multi‑national standards. Throughout the event, we engaged in deep, productive discussions with power utilities, system integrators, and renewable energy partners from the Middle East, Africa, and Eurasia, further solidifying our global market footprint.

Localized Customization, 

Full‑Stack Solutions on Display


Leveraging years of experience in international project deployment, we built themed exhibition zones that directly address the Middle East's harsh climatic conditions (high temperatures and sandstorms) and the underlying tensions of its energy transition. We presented a comprehensive, integrated hardware‑and‑software solution portfolio, ranging from smart metering and intelligent energy systems to distribution network protection equipment.


Precision Metering for Loss Reduction

Historical underinvestment in some parts of the Middle East's distribution networks has resulted in persistently high line loss rates and significant deployment difficulties in remote areas, severely hampering utilities' operational efficiency.

To tackle this, INHE Group's smart metering and edge acquisition zone showcased our full spectrum of products, including smart meters (i211, i311), DIN‑rail meters, and universal meters (i220, i320), paired with the IHM‑5000‑series high‑protection concentrators.

Our meters support multiple mainstream communication protocols and feature enhanced anti‑tampering capabilities. They support flexible switching between prepaid and postpaid billing models, adapting to the diverse business models of different countries. This means operators no longer need to repeatedly select different models for various scenarios; a single platform handles deployment across urban, suburban, and industrial/commercial environments. The IHM‑5000 concentrator, with its IP67‑rated metal housing, can be deployed outdoors without additional enclosures, making it ideal for remote sites and overhead‑line deployments, significantly reducing infrastructure and maintenance costs in the region.

On the software front, our HES, MDM, and CIS systems create a fully integrated data chain from terminal metering devices to utilities' billing operations. Leveraging high‑frequency data collection and zonal line loss topology analysis, we can pinpoint losses down to the transformer zone and even individual feeder lines. This empowers operators to transition from "reactive, broad‑brush management" to precise, "line‑by‑line" governance strategies, achieving a closed‑loop system for data acquisition, loss management, tariff management, and prepaid/postpaid operations—truly enabling digital utility operations.


Storage‑Grid Synergy for Stability


With the rapid growth of PV and wind power installations across the MENA region, the impact of renewable energy output volatility on grid frequency and peak regulation is becoming increasingly pronounced.

Addressing this structural challenge, INHE Group showcased our storage inverter line, covering a power range of 3 kW to 125 kW. These products feature 2‑fold PV overcapacity access and sustained high‑load capabilities. They can respond to grid dispatch commands in real time, seamlessly switching between off‑grid and on‑grid modes to smooth out renewable energy fluctuations and provide millisecond‑level frequency regulation support. Equipped with a color touchscreen HMI and supporting OEM/ODM customization services, these inverters are flexibly adaptable to the unique needs of various commercial, industrial, and residential scenarios. This ensures that our storage solutions act as "buffers" for grid stability rather than operating as isolated "islands".

Multi‑Protocol Platform for Integration

The full‑range energy meters are certified to G3, Wi‑Sun, and DLMS standards, and comply with mainstream international standards such as IEC, MID, and OIML. They have also obtained certifications from authoritative test bodies including KEMA, SGS and TUV. The HES system supports dynamic adaptation of multiple communication protocols, enabling rapid local market entry and deployment in different countries and different power grid architectures.

Addressing equipment monitoring gaps in distribution network upgrades, we also featured our range of large‑user metering cabinets, reclosers, sectionalizers, and transformer monitoring devices. Designed for the region's mix of overhead lines and underground cables, these products integrate metering, real‑time monitoring, and fault protection. They can collect critical operational parameters—including switchgear status, transformer oil temperature, oil level, and ambient temperature—to proactively predict equipment failures and shift operations from reactive repairs to proactive maintenance.

Deep Market Engagement and Practical Industry Exchanges


Throughout the exhibition, our booth attracted significant interest from power utilities, system integrators, and renewable energy companies from the Middle East, North Africa, and Eurasia. Visitors were particularly focused on the practical challenges of their national energy transformation, engaging with our team on topics including local product certification, the compatibility of complete hardware and software solutions, the coordinated operation of storage with public grids, and distribution network loss management. Drawing on our extensive overseas project experience, INHE Group's team offered tailored implementation pathways, taking into account the specific grid architectures and market access rules of different countries.
